The project was initially announced in February 2020 and features key team members from the Danganronpa franchise. The involvement of Rui Komatsuzaki, known for his distinctive art style, adds to the game's visual appeal, transitioning his work into 3D.
In Tribe Nine, players will explore Neo Tokyo, forming parties of up to three members, each with unique skills and behaviours. The gameplay includes overcoming formidable foes, engaging in mini-games, and completing side quests. The game is free to play with in-app purchases and supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, with Japanese voiceover options.
