One-Punch Man Manga Goes on Two-Month Hiatus, Returns in August 2024

The editorial team at Shueisha's "Tonari no Young Jump" manga website announced on Thursday, 20 June 2024, that ONE and YÅ«suke Murata's One-Punch Man manga will be taking a two-month hiatus. This break is necessary for Murata to make various adjustments and preparations, with the series expected to return on 22 August 2024.
ONE and Murata launched the One-Punch Man manga on Shueisha's free "Tonari no Young Jump" website in 2012, as a remake of ONE's original web manga. Shueisha will release the 31st compiled book volume on 4 July 2024. Viz Media is responsible for both the digital and print versions of the series.

The anime adaptation of One-Punch Man originally aired in Japan from October to December 2015. Viz Media and Daisuki streamed the series internationally as it aired. The English-dubbed version debuted on Adult Swim's Toonami block in July 2016, with Viz Media subsequently releasing the first season on home video in North America.

The second season premiered with a television special in April 2019, followed by the first episode a week later. Viz Media obtained the master licence for the second season, covering digital streaming, TV broadcast, electronic sell-through, home media, and merchandising rights in North America, Latin America, and Oceania. The season was streamed exclusively on Hulu by Viz Media, while Crunchyroll managed streaming in Europe (excluding French- and German-speaking regions), the Middle East, and North Africa.

The editorial department's blog site on Tonari no Young Jump also revealed that the One-Punch Man manga is being adapted into a Hollywood live-action film. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter on 12 April 2024, the screenplay for the live-action film is being rewritten by Dan Harmon, co-creator of Rick and Morty and creator of Community, alongside screenwriter Heather Anne Campbell, known for her work on Rick and Morty, The Twilight Zone, and The Eric Andre Show.
