Yostar Pictures and Pony Canyon Announced Sorairo Utility Anime Premiere and Cast Details

 Yostar Pictures and Pony Canyon have revealed the key visual and announced that the television anime series "Sorairo Utility" is scheduled to premiere in January 2025.

The series, building on its previous anime special that aired in December 2021, features a returning cast that includes Miyu Takagi as Minami Aoba, Yurina Amami as Haruka Akane, and Ayasa Goto as Ayaka Hoshimi. Joining the ensemble are new cast members Yumiri Hanamori as Izumi Akina, Kazuhiko Inoue as Masao "Masa" Tadokoro, Kenyuu Horiuchi as Chosuke "Cho" Tanabe, and Toshiyuki Morikawa as Tetsuhiro "Tetsu" Tanaka.

Directed by Kengo Saitō at Yostar Pictures, the series also sees him returning as the character designer. Script supervision is under Yū Satō, known for works such as "The Legendary Hero is Dead!" and "Kotaro Lives Alone," in collaboration with Aya Satsuki and Aki Mizuki. Kota Nozomi, the original concept creator, contributed to the script for the "Sorairo Utility" special.

Pony Canyon describes the storyline as follows:

"During her high school journey, Minami Aoba faces a pivotal moment as an ordinary background character. Determined to carve out her unique path, she stumbles upon a nearby golf range where she encounters Haruka Akane, a skilled golfer. With the encouragement of Haruka and aspiring influencer Ayaka Hoshimi, Minami embarks on a golfing journey, wielding her newfound 'utility' – a golf club. Together, they explore the pleasures and challenges of the sport, aspiring to shine as protagonists in their own stories."
