Aniplex Announces TV Anime Adaptation of Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi Manga

Aniplex has announced an upcoming television anime adaptation of Aya Shirakawa's romantic comedy manga "Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi". Originally serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday from December 2021, the manga has gained popularity for its blend of humor and romance.

The series follows YÅ« Ayase, the son of Subaru Ayase, a famous actress known for her beauty, athleticism, and intelligence. Despite inheriting his mother's good looks, YÅ« feels he lacks her other remarkable qualities. His life changes dramatically when he enrolls in an elite school and moves in with his mother's friend. Here, he begins living with the three Mikadono sisters, each possessing their own unique talents alongside vulnerabilities that add depth to their characters.


As of April 2024, the manga comprises nine volumes, with the tenth volume set for release in July. Aya Shirakawa's illustrations and storytelling have been lauded for capturing both the comedic interactions and heartfelt moments between the characters.
